– ASZ-1 Additional city rules – Business CCTV

1. Permit requirement: Any private business must apply for a permit before installing cameras. The permit is requested via the city council.
2. Location restrictions: Cameras may not be placed in private homes or in areas with a reasonable expectation of privacy (e.g., changing rooms or bathrooms).
3. Field-of-view limits: Cameras must be aimed at specific areas requiring security and must not record beyond the business premises.
4. Duty to inform: The business must clearly report to the municipality where cameras are installed.
5. Data retention & privacy: Footage may not be stored longer than legally permitted and must be secured against unauthorized access. Clear access rules must exist.
6. Audit & accountability: An independent annual audit must verify compliance with all rules and guidelines.
7. Complaints procedure: Citizens must be able to file complaints via the court and/or municipality. The business must provide the necessary information.
